Q: Who must attend New York Entrepreneur Week 2009?
A: All Entrepreneurs. Those who consider themselves movement makers, change agents, people helpers or problem solvers. If you aren’t described above, stay home.

Q: I want to attend events. What do I do? How much does it cost to attend?
A: Please visit the Events Overview Page and select which revenue size you and your organization would qualify for. Cost is based on stage/revenue size of your venture.

Q: How do I register?
A: Registration is now open. Please click here.

Q: Are there registration discounts?
A: There is an “early bird” discount. This discount is automatic and will be applicable until October 31st, 2009 at 11:55pm EST.

Q: I’d like to hold an event. Can I?
A: Yes, you certainly can. New York Entrepreneur Week is inclusive and open to third parties. We’d love to have you! Participate as an Official Event Partner.

If you want to be involved, or how you can contribute, please e-mail us at: ThirdPartyEvents@nyew.org

Q: How can I sponsor New York Entrepreneur Week?
A: If you are interested in being considered for sponsorship of New York Entrepreneur Week, please email us at Sponsorship@nyew.org

Q: When is New York Entrepreneur Week 2009?
A: November 16th through November 20th, 2009.

Q: How can I get more information on New York
A: To learn more about New York, visit these New York Visitors’ websites:

http://www.nycgo.com/
http://www.iloveny.com/home.aspx

Q: How many people attend each New York Entrepreneur Week session?
A: This depends on which revenue size you and your organization qualify for. The smallest event is 30 people and the largest is in excess of 500.

Q: Are the NYEW sessions tax deductible?
A: Please consult your accountant.

Q: Are the NYEW sessions handicapped accessible?
A: Please contact each specific venue that is holding a NYEW or NYEW partner event.

Q: Why do you insist that participants wear name badges?
A: It’s in response to the free rider problem.  We must try to minimize this problem as revenue is what pays for the top-tier content NYEW is able to produce for the community.

Q:What is the cancellation policy?
A: Cancellations made up to fourteen days before the conference will receive a full refund. For cancellations received less than one week before and up to the day before the conference, a $25 cancellation fee will apply. No refunds are given for cancellations
received after the conference has begun.

Q: Can a substitution be made?
A: Unfortunately due to the volume of attendees expected, we are unable to honor substitutions at this time.

Q: How should I dress?
A: Large event space can be very chilly or, conversely, overheated. We have limited or no control over the facility’s climate. Because temperatures may vary, we suggest you dress in layers and come prepared for both a cool or warm room.
